Arrest and Charges
Seven men have been charged in connection with a $100 million jewelry heist from a Brink's truck in California, considered the largest in U.S. history. The theft occurred in July 2022 during a transport from San Francisco to Pasadena.
The suspects face multiple federal counts, including conspiracy to commit theft and theft from interstate and foreign shipment. If convicted, they could face significant prison time, with some charges carrying a maximum of 20 years.
Modus Operandi and Previous Crimes
The group allegedly followed the Brink's truck for over 300 miles before stealing 24 bags of jewelry at a rest stop in Lebec. The operation involved scouting, tracking, and a coordinated theft.
Prior to the heist, some suspects were involved in stealing electronics and robbing a box truck driver at knifepoint. Their criminal activities included thefts of Samsung electronics and Apple AirTags in separate incidents.
