Arrests and Allegations

The NIA arrested Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar and Bashir Ahmad Jothar for allegedly harbouring terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 and injured 16.

The duo reportedly provided shelter, food, and logistical support to the terrorists, who were identified as Pakistani nationals affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Ongoing Investigations and International Reactions

The NIA is further investigating the case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, following the arrest of the two men.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) condemned the Pahalgam attack, highlighting the necessity of financial resources and means for moving funds among terrorist supporters, indicating a broader network involvement.
